Welcome to Albano & Greenwald Family Dentistry

Important News Regarding COVID-19

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. We would like to begin by thanking you for your patience as we navigate our way through this uncertain time. Although many things have changed, our commitment to your safety and care has not.

Following the state guidelines and recommendations, we are excited to announce that our office is expected to reopen June 1st. We will be contacting you to coordinate your next visit with us. Our team has been working hard to welcome you back. Please be patient as we work through this process.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • We kindly ask that only patients receiving dental treatment come into the office.
  • The state is recommending that all citizens wear face coverings in public places. We urge all patients entering our office to follow these guidelines.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
  • We will take temperatures and ask screening questions prior to appointment. The patient may be rescheduled for elevated temperature, or if risk is determined.
  • We will have patients do a preprocedural mouth rinse before all treatment.
  • Rather than raising fees we will be adding a $12 personal protective equipment (PPE) cost to each appointment.
  • We ask that you check in when you arrive to update your information. You will return to your car and we will alert you when it is time for your appointment.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 203-755-7748. Thank you for being our patient. We will keep in touch if current guidelines change and will inform you of any updates.

Sincerely,
Drs Albano and Greenwald and Staff
